Set DSCP values according to your updated QoS policy under Cisco Unified CallManager > Service Parameters. Audio streams in audio-only calls default to EF. Video streams and associated audio streams in video calls default to AF41.

Enable the PC port. Enable video support. Check or uncheck Retry Video Call as Audio. Verify the IP phone configuration.

All rights reserved.CIPT2 v Verify the Phone Loads IP phone load 6.4(4) or higher for 7940 and 7941 IP phone load 6.0(4) or higher for 7960 and 7961 IP phone load 6.0(2) or higher for 7970 and 7971 Cisco Unified CallManager Release 5.0 ships with IP phone load 8.0(1) or higher.

All rights reserved.CIPT2 v Enabling Retry Video Call as Audio A video-enabled IP phone can be configured to retry video calls as audio calls if the video call cannot be set up. This parameter is enabled by default. This parameter is configured at the Phone Configuration page.

The symbol is visible after the phone is configured to support video calls: –It does not indicate that Cisco Unified Video Advantage has been associated with the IP phone.

Ensure that the Cisco IP phone or Cisco IP Communicator is video-enabled. Ensure that the PC is connected to the IP phone and verify IP connectivity between IP phone and PC (not needed with Cisco IP Communicator): –Check reachability using ping. –Ensure that Cisco Audio Session Tunnel protocol is not filtered.

All rights reserved.CIPT2 v Active Call Verification with the Diagnostic Tool You can open a call diagnostic window by right- double-clicking the Cisco Unified Video Advantage application window. The diagnostic window allows you to monitor CDP packets, Cisco Audio Session Tunnel packets, and active call statistics.

The IP phone acts as an SCCP proxy between Cisco Unified Video Advantage and Cisco Unified CallManager. Configure Cisco Unified CallManager locations and regions for video. Configure the Cisco IP phones in Cisco Unified CallManager for video. Plug in the Cisco VT Camera only after the installation process has finished.
