7 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Condenser R-134A, PARALLEL FLOW TYPE Function : The condenser changes the refrigerant from the of high temperature, high pressure to the of high temperature, high pressure. Function : The condenser changes the refrigerant from the vapor of high temperature, high pressure to the liquid of high temperature, high pressure.
8 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Compressor (swash plate type)
9 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Evaporator unit The evaporator receives the cold, low-pressure atomize liquid refrigerant from the expansion valve. As this cold refrigerant passes through the coils of the evaporator, which vaporizes and absorbs heat from the passenger compartment.
10 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Evaporator air filter 1. Description 2. Life time Filter replacement period is 5,000~12,000km. But this can be shorten if the road condition is bad causing more dust and black smoke in the air. 3. How to replace -. Remove the glove box. -. Pull the locking part of the air filter cover. Employing combination filter, dust and odor in the air is effectively removed.
11 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Water temperature sensor Water temperature sensor attached to the heater core inlet tube detects the coolant temperature in the heater core and sends the signal to the controller. The signal becomes data for the controller to carry out CELO function by comparing the differences among the setting temperature, indoor temperature and outdoor temperature.
12 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM CELO (Cold Engine Lock Out) function Operating conditions - AT AUTO MODE - SELECT MODE : AT BI-LEVEL, FLOOR MODE - SETTING TEMP : 3 higher than indoor temp. - WTS : under 58 Under the theses conditions, defrost mode operates and blower motor runs low speed to avoid a direct contact of cold air from outside with occupants. Function prohibition - 10 Minutes after Ignition ON - When the detected temperature by WTS exceeds When a BLOWER SWITCH is selected - When DEFROST SWITCH is selected

16 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Ambient sensor The ambient temperature sensor is located in front of the condenser fan shroud. This sensor detects the temperature of outside air and sends voltage signals to the controller.

18 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AQS (Air Quality System) Air Quality System(AQS) monitors the quality of outside air and prevents the occupants from the harmful gas fumes flowing into the vehicle. The Air Quality System detects exhaust gas of neighboring vehicles and intercepts automatically. AQS controls the inlet of car automatically and can be easily installed to the existing vehicle. Manual operation is also available. AQS Sensor

20 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Humidity sensor HUMIDITY SENSOR detects humidity of inside passenger room. This sensor converts humidity into the voltage signal and sends the signal to the FATC controller.
