52 52 SAFETY ECM FUNCTION Power windows are controlled by the communication among Safety window units of Driver, Assist, LH rear, RH rear and driver side Door module. - P/W Manual Up/Down control according to MANUAL SW. - P/W Safety control is operated only at auto Up operation. - P/W Safety control is operated only from AUTO SW of driver side door module. The control of Safety window Pulse sensor is integrated into P/W Motor. Stop the safety control when the pulse frequency from Sensor pulse is over while P/W UP is operated P/W move down 150mm(163Pulse) or for 0.7 Sec. When there is a 18Hz difference of Sensor Pulse frequency in 100ms of Power window UP Operation. Safety Power Window control prohibit controls: -No operation of P/W Operation Sensor -Limit SW Open Circuit -module malfunction -limit S/W Off
53 53 POWER WINDOW SAFETY SENSOR Moving distance according to Pulse : 0.92 mm / Pulse Sensor Type : Hall IC Sensor Waveform Module detects the position of window through the edge of pulse(Rise, Fall) that is produced by P/W Motor Safety Sensor. Window move down when there is 18Hz or more frequency difference from pulse or the frequency that is from 8 Sec. before differs with the frequency that is already set in control module. Moving down distance at SAFETY control. Window is moved down 150mm and fixed. Moving down distance count : 163EDGE X 0.92mm = 150mm) T1 T EDGE(Lo & Hi Signal Count)
54 54 PULSE COUNT Do not keep the position of window. Monitor the pulse frequency change of motor for Safety. Check the sensor malfunction through the pulse input status while P/W MOTOR UP/ DOWN. Sensor or Limit Switch Self Diagnostic Fail Item Malfunction Criteria Limit S/W Fail Pulse is input more than 50edge at Limit S/W Off while MTR Up/Down Sensor Pulse Fail No pulse input for more than 700ms when limit S/W is On and while window is down. No pulse input for more than 100ms when limit S/W is On and while window is up.
55 55 1. When limit switch is fail, if Power Window Auto S/W is pressed, the window is moved up 5cm a each press without Safety function. 2. When sensor pulse fail is detected, if Power Window Auto S/W is pressed, the window is moved up for 0.7 sec. without Safety function. StatusPower Window Operation Limit 1. From detecting of limit S/W fail to troubleshooting Since motor up signal outputs, after counting 54EDGE from sensor, stop power window up. 54EDGE (54 X 0.92mm = 49.7mm) 5 cm 2. Abnormal PULSE Frequency detecting The PULSE frequency from Pulse cycle differs with the frequency of 8 Pulse before more than 18Hz. Fail safe of window at SAFETY detected.
