TCM Temperature Sensor Temperature Sensor 3. If the sensor fails exchanges the mechatronic module. TCM inside E-moduleTCM temperature sensor TCM 1. Detects the TCM temperature 2. If temperature too hot, TCM turns system off to protect itself. (3rd gear fixed in 1st ~ 3rd gear, 5th gear fixed in 4th ~ 6th gear)

Integrated inside E-module (E-module should not be removed from the mechatronics module) TCM E-module 2. If the TCM fails, system shuts down. (Limp home mode : 3rd gear fixed in 1st ~ 3rd gear, 5th gear fixed in 4th ~ 6th gear) 1. Integrated in mechatronic module and cannot be separated. 3. If the TCM fails exchanges the mechatronic module.

TCM Learning After replacement of the mechatronic module. Procedure - Oil temperature : 50 degrees Celsius or more - TPS angle adjustment : 4.6L V8 Gasoline (approx. 15%) - Drive the vehicle up to 5 th gear with over 60kph and stop slowly. - Stop the vehicle 5 seconds and try it again. (10 times)

After repair, before the driving test, the oil has to be filled up with the ZF- Lifeguardfluid6 (Shell M1375.4) 2. At idle speed and the oil temperature is between 30~50, fill up the oil until oil drops. Oil filling plug 35 Nm (Tightening torque) Drain plug 8 Nm (Tightening torque)

Caution 1) Center pins (dowel pins) : if missed, AT can be damaged. Possibility of oil leaking from T/C housing The two A describe the position of the center pins Center pin at an engine case Center pin Lock pin 2) Replacement of mechatronic module - Drain AT fluid and remove the oil pan. - Remove the lock pin and remove the external connection socket. - Remove the mechatronic module.

Caution 3) Installation of the torque converter : Check if the T/C is installed correctly. distance from T/C housing to torque converter Measurement of the distance with a deep gauge 4) Leakage between engine and transmission : Reasons are, - center bush is missing in crank shaft - center pins between engine and transmission is missing. Oil leaking
