6 Advantages It makes studying in school easier It s easier and faster to find out informatio n withthe help of computers It s convenient to use gadgets, because they re compact

7 Disadvantages Gadgets are quite expensive You can t rely on computers. For example, there can be problems with internet connection. Not all teachers allow to use gadgets at their lessons

8 What technologies do you use and what for? I always use Internet : at home – to communicate with classmates and do my homework, at lessons – to find out information I use printer and scanner to make cribs Sometimes I use my iPod instead copybook

10 Conversation with Valentina Ivanovna: Do you know what M - Learning and M - Teaching mean? Actually, no, I don t. Well, it means learning and teaching withthe use of new technologie s. It seems to be rather interesting.

11 Conversation with Valentina Ivanovna: That s right ! And do you try to practice this method? Certainly ! I practice distance teaching, at least I seek to do it. Excellent ! So what technologie s do you use? And do you want your pupils to use any gadgets?

12 Conversation with Valentina Ivanovna: Firstly, I use electronic register. Moreover, I regularly use a special web - site for Maths lessons. Also I use a computer, printer, cameras at my lessons.

13 Conversation with Valentina Ivanovna: And of course it s better when pupils use computers, the Internet. It makes easier to connect with me and other pupils, find out new material ( and understand it ), make presentatio ns.

14 Conversation with Valentina Ivanovna: What pros of this method can you see? Usage of computer technologie s is absolutely a modern trend, it spreads everywhere and as for schools, it makes distance teaching more available and help to work directly with a student.

15 Conversation with Valentina Ivanovna: And what about cons? As for me, it s quite difficult to make up plenty variants of tests. And the main problem is the lack of time. I mean students. Now all of them are preparing for Unified State Exams, so they have too much job.

16 This research is of great importance because it helps : to analyze the meaning of new technologies in modern education to define the level of computer skills of modern teachers to converse with teachers about informal topic
