2 Nikola Tesla was born in Austria-Hungary, July 9, He was the fourth child in family clergyman. His father wanted him to become a priest, but Tesla went to study at a technical school in Graz.

3 Tesla received a classical education, spoke several languages, graduated from the Polytechnic University Graz (1878) and Prague University (1880). In 1883 produced his first electric motor.
