2 Hello! Let me introduce myself. My name is Midvik. Im 3 years old. Im brown. Im a very clever, nice and funny toy Bear.

3 Im very happy because I live with a really good girl. Her name is Ann. She is 10. She has got many toys and she loves us very much.

4 But I was not always happy. My story started three years ago. I lived in a big shop with thousands of other different toys. I was very lonely there. I had no friends. Sometimes little boys and girls came to me, touched my head and ears and went away. I was very sad and I often cried.

5 One day, before New Year, I saw an old man with white hair and a beard. He was in red clothes and he had a big sack. He was very tall and fat. He put me in his sack and left the shop. I was very frightened because I thought this man was a thief. Oh, no! I will never have a family or friends!- I cried.

6 Late at night the man took me out of the sack, put me under the tree and went away. Hooray!!! Im free now!!!, I thought. I looked around. It was very strange here – a very beautiful tree grew right in the flat!!! Early in the morning a girl ran to the tree and took me in her hands with a happy smile. She hugged and kissed me. Her name was Ann…

7 Now we are best friends!!! We love playing together. Anna never leaves me alone. And every year before the New Years Day that tall fat man in red clothes comes to our flat and brings us new friends. And Im so happy now!!!
