3 Theatres There are a lot of theatres in New-York where musicals are performed. Only in the Broadway there are more than thirty theatres and every day people can see a different performance. 4 The centre of the theatre district is Times Square, where crowds of people wait for midnight on New Years Eve, the 31 st of December.

5 Museums The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the most famous Art museum in New-York and has great art collections from all over the world.

6 The Guggenheim Museum has one of the worlds finest collections of contemporary art. It was designed by the famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

7 The Statue of Liberty, Americas symbol of freedom, was built in New-York Harbour in 1886.

8 The most famous building in the world is the Empire State Building, which is also the highest skyscraper in the city.

9 Two twins-towers of the World Trade Centre were destroyed by the explosion on the 11 th of September 2001.

10 And all this is New-York, a beautiful modern city.
