2 The aim of the action is to create an ecological culture among the population, to spread knowledge about the state, importance and protection of green spaces.

3 During the action "Plant Your Tree" members of the population plant trees and shrubs in parks, squares, groves, near kindergartens and educational institutions all over Ukraine, on the banks of lakes and rivers.

4 Over the past 500 years, Ukraine has lost more than two- thirds of the forests and now has the penultimate position in Europe as a forestry.

5 Deforestation has caused not only the shortage of wood for the Ukrainian industry, but also processes that could become irreversible. Already, large areas, especially in the south and east of Ukraine, suffer from a lack of water, which accelerates the degradation of the natural environment.

6 When selecting plants for specific conditions of growth should take into their biological properties and attitude to the main environmental factors. In this case, the variable factor is water, the demand for which in various tree plants is not the same.

7 Mostly, in the south of Ukraine are planted trees that withstand dry habitats. Additionally, in our town, such actions are often carried out.
