10 In-coming tourism If you come from the US to the UK then you are an incoming tourist to the UK. If you come from the US to the UK then you are an incoming tourist to the UK. Otherwise known as inbound tourism. Is when a person is outbound from their home country, and incoming to the UK. For example a man from Paris, France, is travelling to Brighton. It generally focuses on traditional communities who have diverse customs, unique form of art and distinct social practices, which basically distinguishes it from other types/forms of culture. It is difficult to judge whether one is a 'pilgrimage tourist' or 'spiritual tourist' since the genuine intentions of the pilgrim are unknown and it is likely that everybody embarks upon some form of tourism during a pilgrimage in some shape or form.
