Niagara falls is the Horseshoe falls (eng. Horseshoe Falls), sometimes called the Canadian falls (eng. Canadian Falls), American falls (eng. American Falls) and the waterfall "Veil" (eng. Bridal Veil Falls). Although the elevation and not very large, the waterfalls are very wide, and the volume of water passing through it Niagara falls the most powerful in North America. The height of the waterfalls is 53 meters. The foot of American falls obscures a heap of stones, making it visible height only 21 meters. Width American falls 323 meters, the waterfall "Horseshoe" 792 meters. The volume of falling water is up to 5700 m3/s[1]. The beauty of this wonder of nature attracts many tourists from all over the world, which contributes to the prosperity of cities located on the banks of the falls Niagara falls (eng. Niagara Falls), new York, USA and Niagara falls, Ontario, Canada. The most spectacular view of the falls can be enjoyed from the canadian coast. 5 Bannerman castle is located on Pollopel island, 6 3/4 acres of mostly rock in the Hudson river near Cornwall-on-Hudson, new York. It was built by Frank Bannerman VI, not as home but as a place to store items such as weapons and ammunition that he purchased at government auctions. Frank Bannerman personally designed the island's buildings, docks, turrets, walls and a moat garden in the style of old Scottish castles. In 1967, the family sold Bannerman castle to the state of new York, which plans to open the island to the Park, and for a short time in 1968 they ran tours of the island. But on the evening of August 8, 1969, a fire of unknown origin destroyed all the buildings. There is now a group called the Bannerman castle trust, an organization dedicated to stabilizing the ruins of the castle of Bannerman and the opening of the island to the public. From "Victorian homes magazine", June 1997: Bannerman castle, now in ruins, was built by Francis Bannerman at the turn of the century and was modeled on a Scottish castle. Even when it was new the castle looked scary, and no wonder: the standard-Bearer of collected firearms and weapons; his wife believes that she was Queen of England in a past life. Later, I got a message that said: My name is Neil Kaplan. I'm the President of the Bannerman castle trust, Inc. non-profit "organization of work with friends of new York state parks, recreation and historic preservation. Our goal is to keep the castle of Bannerman as a historical, educational and historical Museum and is safe to open it to the public. I was glad to see that you included the castle of your locks Bannerman on the website of the United States. There are many stories about the castle and about the people who lived there. Many of these stories interesting, however, there are many stories that are not true. The story of Mrs Bannerman, though she was the Queen of England, I believe, is false. There is a story about a fisherman by the name of ward (Henry ward Beecher), who live in a little hut on the island with his wife. The wards were the only people who lived on the island before, when a castle was built. Since there was no one else living on the island and there was nothing for Mrs. ward to do. She pretended to be Queen Victoria to deliver on time. She also pretended that her husband Prince albert and Pollepel, a small island they lived in was England. Mrs. ward, you say crazy. I believe that somewhere down the line, the story of Mrs. ward became Mrs. Bannerman. Perhaps this is a more interesting story to make Mrs. Bannerman seems that she's crazy and believe were the Queen of England in another life. I was told that Mrs. Bannerman became forgetful and senile when she grew older. Age does not make a person crazy.
