1 The methods and ways of ethnolinguistics EL studies as a part of external linguistics the interrelation between language and culture. The society can be monoethnic and polyethnic. The language with a culture is a important ethnoindicator. The language is a mirror of culture.

2 Here we define the aim of ethnolinguistics. The aim of EL is the study of words and idioms not only from the point of their placement in system of language and also from the point of their special national peculiarities of concrete culture in speech.

3 The aims of ethnolinguistic researches are To establish the reflection in nominative units and speech stamps the peculiarities of culture of ethnic groups. To define in language categories the peculiarities of the ethnic groups relations to the things and phenomena of environment. To find out the influences of cultural differences to the intercultural communication in different vital situatuons.

4 The notions of EL The objects of EL can be paremics (Grk. paroimia). There are the proverbs and sayings. Realia – the name of things, objects, phenomena which is connected with a culture of peoples. As realia we can consider the historical events, the names of historical personalities, the names of holidays and sights.

5 E.g. Ger. Eintopf (дословно один горшок) – название густого супа с мясом, овощами, употребляемое как первое и второе блюдо одновременно.

7 The ways of EL We study the ethnolinguistic problems from culture till language and from language till culture. And this case the methods of sociolinguistics and ethnolinguistics are the same.

8 (1) Active methods (contacts, field investigations) are connected with a building by experimenter conditions for direct communication.

9 (2) Passive methods (remote) are connected with the study and interpretation of writing source (archives documents, statistical data, the press, the laws and resolution of imperious structure).

10 As a example we take the word for the analyze friend in English and Russian. 1)For Englishman is: А) Я хорошо знаю этого человека. Б) Я хочу часто быть с этим человеком. В) Я хочу делать вещи с этим человеком. Г) Когда я с этим человеком, я чувствую себя хорошо. Д) Я думаю, что этот человек думает обо мне.

11 2) For Russian man is А) Я очень хорошо знаю этого человека. Б) Я думаю об этом человеке очень хорошие вещи. В) Я хочу часто бывать с этим человеком. Г) Я хочу часто разговаривать с этим человеком. Д) Я знаю: я могу сказать этому человеку, что угодно.
