12 PRONUNCIATION [ s] when the noun ends in a(n) [f],[k], [p], [t] or [Ѳ]. cliffs, books, shops, cats, myths [iz] when the noun ends in a(n)[s], [ks], [], [t], [d3 ], [z] or[3]. buses, foxes, torches, bridges when the noun ends in any other sound. rooms, boys, pears, leaves [z]
