2 Project objective:examine the level of democracy of Western countries Actuality: there are a lot of debate about the role of democracy in the modern politics. Objectives: 1) the definition of "democracy"; 2) a comparison of democracies on the example of the United States, Great Britain and Russia. Hypothesis: democracy has lost its role.

8 Who invented democracy? Democracy were first invented by the citizens of Athens. They came to the national Assembly of the square - the Agora. There the Athenians had passed laws by popular vote.

9 Conclusion Democracy has superiorities and disadvantages. With its capabilities and prospects for democracy has raised the expectations that it cannot meet. At the moment we are more inclined to agree with the famous saying of Churchill: "democracy is a bad form of government, nothing but the best humanity has not yet invented".
