4 Here are some other reasons people give for smoking. Most of my family smoke. I only smoke low tar cigarettes, so it's OK. I'd be bored if I didn't smoke. I've been smoking for ages, it's too late to give up now. I haven't got any will power.

5 There are 4,000 chemicals in cigarette smoke, these are just some of them: CARBONE MONOXIDE takes up room in your lungs which should be filled with oxygen. TAR about 70% of the tar in cigarette smoke is left in the lungs where it causes many serious lung diseases. ACETON used in a nail polish remover. NICOTINE keeps you addicted. ARCENIC a deadly poison used insecticides FORMALDEGIDE is used to preserve dead bodies. SHELLAC becomes a vanish for wood when mixed with a form of alcohol. BENZENE is used in fuel and chemical manufacturing. CYANIDE is a deadly poison.

6 Smoking causes a lot of serious and often fatal diseases such as CORONARY HEART DISEASE LUNG CANCER THROAT CANCER MOUTH CANCER and others.

7 Short-term effects: Makes your hair and clothes smells Stains your teeth Gives you bad breath Makes your skin dry Causes wrinkles earlier in life Can affect your sports performance - you won't be able to run as fast or as far.
