2 Sergey Korolev is a founder of Soviet space programme. He is well known all over the world as designer of aircrafts, rockets, artificial satellites and other types of space technic.

3 He was born in Zhytomyr, but spent his childhood in Chernigiv region. Sergiy was very clever and searching boy, interested in planes and rockets. At the age of 17 he has already designed a project of motorless aircraft, which was recommended to produce.

4 After school he studed in Tehnical Institute of Kyiv, but then he continued studing in Moskow.

5 Sergiy invented the artificial satellite of the Earth and organized it`s first flight.

6 The 12 th of April 1961 is the day, when happened the flight of the first cosmonaut – Yuri Gagarin. This space-ship Vostok was also designed by Korolev.

7 Sergiy Korolev won great recognition in our country and beyond the bounders of it. He got Lenin`s reward, twice was named The Hero of Soviet Union and was the member of Science Academy.
