3 Ukrainian customs and traditions Our nation has a rich culture, a huge treasure which consists of values, acquisitions many generations. From ancient times to follow us wisdom and guidance for life. They are incorporated in the Ukrainian customs, rituals, folklore, because they - the attitude and worldview of our nation. They explained and justified by the relationship between people, the value of the spiritual culture of the individual and the nation in general. It is closely connected with the folk customs that are the laws that governed Ukrainian daily. Like the native language and customs unite people in a nation. One who forgets manners, punishing God and people, and by Ukrainian legend, the parents who do not follow the customs of born children who are Werewolves. Pre-Christian traditions intertwined with religious harmony, creating rituals that we have today : once fell on Christmas holiday winter sun rotate, crop and messenger of happiness, which is also sung in carols.
4 Traditional Ukrainian borsch The most popular of first courses in Ukraine - a borsch. The word "borsch" occurs from old Slavic (beet). This vegetable is an obligatory component of all borsches. It gives taste and coloring. To beet add two tens more components which don't suppress beet taste, and only shade and diversify it. Obligatory ingredients in a borsch are the cabbage, carrots, potatoes, parsley, onions, tomatoes, additional - apples (sour), vegetable marrows, haricot. Many kinds of a borsch are known. In each area of Ukraine him train according to the special recipe. Many borsches carry the name of the district in which they appeared: Lvov, Zakarpatye, Yalta, Poltava. They differ with way of preparation of broth, a set of vegetables, a type of processing of beet. As a rule, borsches cook on meat or bone broth. The Poltava and Odessa borsches cook on goose or chicken broth. Some types of borsches fill with the roasted flour. It is optional, and here is swept away to a borsch - is obligatory.
