2 History of the English language is inseparably linked with the history of England. It began in the 5 century, when Britain, at that time inhabited by the Celts and Romans in part, invaded three Germanic tribes.The German influence was so strong that soon in almost the entire country from the Celtic and Latin languages is almost nothing left.
