2 Welcome To London Hello, ladies and gentlemen. We welcome you to London. Londons most famous sights are Tower Bridge, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and St. Pauls Cathedral. Youll see these places and much more of London from our red double-decker.

4 Trafalgar Square We start from Trafalgar Square. On the column in the center there is a statue of Admiral Nelson who defeated the French at the battle of Trafalgar in Trafalgar Square is the place where mass meetings and demonstrations for peace and for working people's rights take place.

5 National Gallery. The whole of the north side of Trafalgar Square is dominated by the National Gallery. It houses one of the finest art collections in the world. It includes painting from British, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch, Flemish and other famous schools. It has a priceless collection of paintings by the famous artists Van Gogh, Reubens, Constable and any other painter you wish to name.

6 Piccadilly Circus London's best-known theatres and cinemas and most famous restaurants are on Piccadilly Circus. 7 Buckingham Palace Now we are at Buckingham Palace. BUCKINGHAM PALACE is the official residents of Her Majesty the Queen and her family. It is the London home of the Queen. It isnt open to the public. It has six hundred rooms, a swimming pool, a cinema, a ballroom, a nuclear cellar and a garden, which is like a private park. In summer the Queen gives three garden parties for about 9000 guests. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home.

9 Houses of Parliament You can see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The Houses of Parliament is the seat of the British government. Big Ben is one of the most famous clocks in the world.

16 Covent Garden We are now going along Fleet Street to the Strand. On the right youll see Covent Garden. It was a big fruit and vegetables market. It is now a tourist shopping center with cafes and restaurants. Well stop here so that you can go shopping.
