3 Introduction We use conditional sentences to talk about uncertain events and situations, things that may or may not happen, which may or may not be true.
4 Conditional sentences have the following structure: If-clause If I had enough money, Main clause I would buy an expensive car. An if-clause can come at the beginning or end of a sentence. When an if-clause comes first, it is often separated by comma.
5 First Conditional If-clause Present Simple Main clause will + infinitive Imperative Describes situation which is likely to happen in present or future. likely present or futurelikely present or future
