2 Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth. It has the parliamentary government. The head of the state is the British Queen. The head of the Parliament is Governor General.

4 The Residence of the Government is on the Parliamentary Hill. The senators of the Parliament are appointed by the Governor General. The Power of Senate is quite limited by the Governor General.
5 The Prime Minister is the Head of the Cabinet. As a rule it is the leader of the party, which won the nearest elections. Prime Minister chooses the members of Parliament and gives the list of them to the Governor General for ratifying.

12 The Governor General is Michaёlle Jean since The Prime Minister is Stephen Harper since 2008, who is from the Conservative Party.
