Mobility Control and one-X Mobile

Mobility Control User Configuration Mobile Call Control requires PRI-U, BRI or SIP (RFC2833) trunks in the IP Office 500 Version 2 which can be used for control purposes.

Mobile call control expands mobile twinning … as well as mobility licenses

The dial number of the external twinning phone is not only required for external parallel calls, but is also used to check permissions for incoming calls Mobile call control expands mobile twinning

PSTN/ISDN Incoming call Twinning Parallel call Initially, the previous functionality known as Mobile Twinning is supported. An incoming call to a user with Mobile Twinning activated leads to a parallel call for the twinning subscriber entered. Mobile call control expands mobile twinning

Functionality of mobile call control Call is held Line seizure External twinning subscriber dials ** followed by phone number via DTMF or function code via DTMF PSTN/ISDN For this call there will be the option to trigger control functions in the IP Office. Introduced for this purpose is known as the star-star service.

Mobile call control FNE service Using Star Star service external twinning subscriber can also execute functions without having received a twinned call. The Star Star service makes use of Feature Name Extensions (FNE).

Mobile call control FNE service FNE uses special codes to map DDI/DID numbers to specific features.

Mobile call control expands mobile twinning Entering the incoming CLI in the user Mobility tab is required for use of the FNE service.

dials DDI for FNE service PSTN/ISDN Mobile call control

has activated twinnig to IP Office releases FNE service receives confirmation and dial tone PSTN/ISDN

dials phone number or function indicator per DTMF IP Office executes function under the phone number of the internal user 4711 is the originator of the selected function PSTN/ISDN An external subscriber can behave in the same way as the internal user assigned to him through twinning Mobile call control

A component of the mobility concept is the use of the one-X Mobile Client user interface. Certain mobile phones which have intelligent control software can also run the Avaya one-X Mobile application. The use of the Avaya one-X Mobile application gives the mobile user the option of triggering features or connecting specific lines in the IP Office without having to dial the FNE service number. For the feature to be used effectively, the same external number must not be entered as a twinning number by more than one internal user at the same time. As well as entering the external twinning number, as mentioned above, which cannot be duplicated within the system, using the Avaya one-X mobile application requires appropriate approval for the internal user. Mobile call control and Avaya one-X TM Mobile

A routing for incoming calls needs to be defined for each FNE code. Mobile call control and Avaya one-X TM Mobile

This contains the short code as a target which leads to the call on the FNE service. Mobile call control and Avaya one-X TM Mobile

The Feature Name Extension codes valid for the IP Office are published in a table. All FNE codes authorized for IP office in this table can be executed using the FNE service. Mobile call control and Avaya one-X TM Mobile

All features using the FNE service are given their own route in the routing table for incoming calls. This contains the short code as a target which leads to the call on the FNE service. Mobile call control and Avaya one-X TM Mobile

Avaya one-X TM Mobile on IP Office PSTN/ISDN - call diversion - call forwarding - pick up - conference - etc is the originator The feature is then activated for the internal user whose external twinning number matches the caller ID of the mobile activating the feature.

Further information on the configuration and operation of the Avaya one-X Mobile Application can be taken from the operating-system- specific Avaya Support Publications. Avaya one-X TM Mobile on IP Office
