PTG System (Power Tail Gate system)
Concept of the PTG (Power Tail Gate) Using PTG motor operation, tail gate is open and close by push load moving to up and down Push Load PTG Motor Channel PTGM PTG General
Auto-controlled for tail gate latch to lock or release by motor power Automatic tail gate opening and closing using the electrical motor System Introduction Power Tail Gate General

Possible to open or close the TG by electric power (Mainly for open) Located inside tail gate outside handle rubber (Self-return type) PTG components PTG Switch : outside handle
PTG main switch : lower crush pad PTG on-off switch is mainly for the driver Main PTG Switch Located on the lower crash pad (driver side) (Self-return type) PTG components
PTG Tail gate trim switch Located on the lower of the tail gate (uncontrolled close condition) Possible to open or close the TG by electric power (Mainly for close) PTG components
Glove box PTG OFF switch Local switches (outside handle S/W, trim S/W) wont be functioned Located passengers globe box (uncontrolled close the globe box) PTG components
Description Optical sensor used in PTG system has several important functions. It has - Obstacle detection - Door opening and closing direction feedback - Travel calculation When this sensor has failure all operation are prohibited. (Passable to manual operating ) Optical Sensor 3 POWER(5V) OPTICAL SENSOR PTGM 23 SENSOR1 18 SENSOR GND
Description When pinch sensor is depressed which means any obstacle is detected, by following the PTG movement direction, it immediately goes to reverse direction. Optical Sensor Waveform
PTG Buzzer Just before PTG opening, stuck in the obstacle, under abnormal operation condition, this PTG module will be operating the buzzer Just before PTG opening, stuck in the obstacle, under abnormal operation condition, this PTG module will be operating the buzzer Located inside tail gate trim (RH) PTG Component
