Shmakova E. N.2 Основополагающий вопрос: Celebrations and traditions : what for? Проблемные вопросы: Are Russia, America and Britain the countries of traditions? Are these traditions different or alike? Are celebrations a part of our life? What activities are people involved in at different celebrations? Do people have different points of view on celebrations? What do people like about celebrations? Гипотеза: If there are not holidays and traditions our life will be boring and imperfect.

N.4 КРАТКАЯ АННОТАЦИЯ ПРОЕКТА Данный проект посвящён исследовательской деятельности по изучению темы «Праздники и традиции».Учащиеся должны подобрать и изучить соответствующий материал, провести исследовательскую работу и ответить на поставленный вопрос: «Зачем нужны праздники». При работе над проектом возможно интеграция таких предметов, как английский язык, история, литература. Возможна помощь учителей информатики. Предусматривается творческая работа трех групп учащихся 8 класса, от качества которой зависит общий результат.

6 РЕЗУЛЬТАТЫ ДЕЯТЕЛЬНОСТИ УЧАЩИХСЯ 1 группа ТЕМА «Do Russian people like holidays?» Результаты: the poster «Russian celebrations» Выводы: the English and Americans have got a lot of holidays; Russia started catching up; holidays are always great fun. 2 группа ТЕМА «Britain is a country of traditions» Результаты: the booklets «Christmas», «Halloween», «St. Valentines Day». Выводы: some British traditions and celebrations have deep roots, some are new; they are observed and loved by the British; they unite people; it is a good reason to start a good habit. 3 группа ТЕМА «Holidays and traditions in America» Результаты: а calendar of American holidays Выводы: American people have got a lot of holidays; some of them are old-fashioned, others are part of peoples life; it is a good opportunity to get together.

Выводы: A lot of people follow traditions Holidays and celebrations bring joy, make us kind. It is a chance to have fun. For some people any holiday is just a day-off. People like the spirits of a holiday. It is a good opportunity to get together.

But there are some immortal things: love to women and mothers, respect to heroes, grown-ups and others. And no matter what we call them, good and kind feelings are still the same everywhere.Traditions make a nation special. Celebration is a good opportunity to get together. Holidays bring joy and unite people.
