CREATION OF PRODUCTION AND SCIENTIFIC COMPLEX IN AQUACULTURE BREEDING AND PROCESSING IN THE AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA

THE PROJECT GOALS Creation of a production and scientific complex aquaculture products breeding and processing; Reproduction of valuable fish species; Production of various products from delicatessen fish species as well as mollusks bred on the complex capacities; Further development of the agro-industrial complex of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Chernomorsky region; Rational use of lake Donuzlav natural resources; Increase in the number of employed people in Chernomorsky region; Providing the Crimean population and other regions of Ukraine with eco-products from fish-breeding industry

THE PROJECT CONCEPTION Directions of activity in breeding in reproduction: Production: Flatfish-turbot – reproduction and commercial fish breeding; Flatfish-glossa – reproduction and commercial fishing; Trout – breeding commercial fish; Mussels - breeding Processing fish into chilled, fresh-frozen one, producing smoked and dried fish products; Processing fresh and frozen mussels as well as producing tinned and preserved mussels; Collecting and processing conch-shell molluscs as by-product of mussels breeding Processing fish wastes and mollusc wastes into fodder flour

Annual production volume after attainment of the estimated capacity: 150 tons of mussels a year; 60 tons of trout; 200 tons of flatfish-turbot; 50 tons of flatfish-glossa; 500 thousand of young flatfish-turbot

OBJECTS ALLOCATION ON THE TERRITORY Land lot area– 10 hectares. Water area (lake Donuzlav) – 180 hectares

PLANNED TYPES OF PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES: To create scientific base in reproduction valuable fish species as flatfish-turbot, flatfish-glossa, the number of which in wild decreases annually; To breed vigorous young flatfish to distribute to fish-breeding enterprises of the ARC and Ukraine; To breed commercial fish: flatfish-turbot, flatfish-glossa, rainbow trout; To breed the Black sea mussels; To collect conch-shells as by-product of mussel breeding; To organize commercial fish processing: chilled fish, fresh-frozen fish, smoked fish; To organize mussel processing: raw mussels, boiled and frozen mussel flesh, smoked and natural mussel flesh in oil, as well as boiled and frozen conch-shell flesh; To process fish wastes and mussel shucks into fodder flour to sell to the cattle farms

POSSIBLE DIRECTIONS OF THE COMPLEX DEVELOPMENT AT LATER STAGES By re-investments it is possible to develop the following directions of activity: Commercial shrimp and crustacean breeding; Nurse pond fish breeding in salty waters; Reproduction and commercial breeding of other fish species

THE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION MAIN RESULTS There will be created a new production and scientific fish-breeding enterprise with a full cycle of aquaculture processing, that will allow to improve the results of agricultural branch of the region and fish-breeding branch of the Autonomous republic of Crimes as a whole; There will be implemented the works in reproduction of valuable commercial fish species, such as flatfish-turbot, flatfish-glossa, natural population of which has a tendency to decrease; There will be conducted scientific researches in fishing industry that will help to increase the prestige of the industry; It is planned to increase the additional income into the budget of Chernomorsky region at the expense of rent; Estimated budget effectiveness will be due to the services provided growth, growth in payments to the budgets and non-budget funds of all levels; New jobs for local people will be created; The population and food industry enterprises will be provided with high quality seafood During the project implementation there will be constructed engineering nets and communications on the territory of Novoivanovsky village council selected for participation in the project
