My name is Dean. Im 15. I live in North California. One rainy summer day, when I was watching TV, the telephone rang. I was scared because I was impressed by a horror movie. My hair stood on end.

I decided not to answer, but somebody was persistent. I thought it was very important and answered. I heard my friends parents. They asked me if I knew where their son Peter was. I didnt know what to answer. It was strange because Peter was a stay-at-home.

Next day he didnt come to school. I called Peters parents and asked if they had found Peter. Unfortunately, hey had no news. Also, they were upset and asked me to come to their house. I agreed.

Nobody knew where he was, but he had sent his parents two massages telling that he had been kidnapped, but everything was OK with him. He wrote that his kidnappers wanted a ransom.

I decided to find Peter myself. Firstly, I called all our friends again and found out that Peter had wanted to meet with someone. Secondly, I called Peter but he didnt answer. Finally, I called a telephone company and asked them how I could find my lost phone. I told them the number of Peters telephone.

They said the address to me. I decided not to call the police and go to this place along. It was an old house. I examined the house and found my friend in one of the rooms on the first floor. He said that his kidnappers had wanted a ransom to set him free and that we had to stop them.

Also, Peter said where repayment place was. We went immediately there but we were late. There was nobody there. In a month the criminal was caught. It was Peters uncle.

The police found out that he had lost a large sum of money in the casino. He didnt return it and was punished.
