Who are they ? its the way people dress, and behave, a lifestyle. The dictionary defines a hippie as one who doesnt conform to societys standards and advocates a liberal attitude and lifestyle.

The hippies wanted a world based on peace, love, and happiness. Many times they lived together in small groups called communes, where they worked together. They strongly opposed the American involvement in the Vietnam War and wanted there to be peace.

Hippie style included long, flowing hair for both men and women, and often beards for men. Both men and women commonly wore headbands, beads with blue jeans or bell-bottoms.
