Methodology: The EBA Investment Attractiveness Index is assessed as the mean value based on the following five questions: What do you think about the investment climate in Ukraine? How would you estimate the investment climate for your company in Ukraine at the moment compared to the previous three months? What are your expectations of the investment climate in Ukraine over the next three months? In your opinion, would it be profitable for new entrants to invest in Ukraine over the next three months? Образец заголовка Образец текста Второй уровень Третий уровень Четвертый уровень Пятый уровень 13 Investment Attractiveness Index with the support of the InMind research company Key findings Five-grade scale is used to evaluate the investment climate, where 1 stands for the lowest evaluation and 5 stands for the highest evaluation In IV quarter of 2009 the EBA Investment Attractiveness Index remained at the same level compared to III quarter: 2.57 on a 5-point scale versus 2.56 in III quarter of 2009 At this level Index remains stable since II quarter of Therefore, the general evaluations of the Investment climate in Ukraine by investors remains at the below average level.
Образец заголовка Образец текста Второй уровень Третий уровень Четвертый уровень Пятый уровень 14 Investment Attractiveness Index with the support of the InMind research company Key findings Main changes that happened with Index components compared to III quarter connect to the estimations of the country investment attractiveness in the coming 3 months: with decreasing share of completely negative evaluations and some decrease of positive expectations the share of slightly negative and neutral evaluations increased. Thus, business remains in vagueness position and mainly expect that the situation will either remain the same or will become slightly worse On business representatives opinion, the cost saving appeared to be the most efficient action that was taken by the companies in the context of crisis in 2009 (53%). Among other efficient actions businesses also named business processes planning, efficiency increase (33%) and stronger focus on marketing and sales activities (28%).
