UNESCO World Heritage in Egypt

Memphis Memphis - the capital of ancient Egypt in the Old Kingdom era. The town was situated 19 km to the south from modern Cairo. Along with the ruins of Memphis is a modern city Helwan. In 1979, the necropolis of Memphis - Saqqara, Dahshur, Giza - was included in UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage at number 86

Giza pyramid complex - the world famous ancient Egyptian pyramid complex, located at Giza on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. Giza was included in the list in 1979 at No. 86 Giza

Necropolises Necropolises were excavated at several sites of Termessos. These necropolises house the monumental graves in the form of a temple or in other forms which are all the monuments of the fine arts along with the simple graves and sarcophaguses. Also there are monumental graves out of the necropolises in Termessos. They are in the forms of mausoleum or rock carved grave. Necropolises was included in the list in 1979 at No. 87

Monuments of Nubia from Abu Simbel to Philae Abu Simbel is archaeological site in Nubia in southern Egypt on the west bank of Lake Nasser. It consists of two rock temples of Ramses II who lived in the first half of the 12th century Big temple is dedicated to Fivane god Amun-Ra Abu Simbel was included in the list in 1979 at No. 88

Rocks on the west bank of the Nile, are carved as two famous ancient Egyptian temples during the reign of Ramses II (about BC. e.). It is located in Nubia, 280 km south of Aswan.

Ahead of the small temple there are six statues, carved bas-reliefs, namely on each side by two images of the king and one - the queen.

One of the temples, the great, was erected in honor of the pharaoh Ramses II; the other fellow, - in honor of his first wife, Queen Nefertari.

Fillet Fillet is an island on the River Nile in southern Egypt, where now there is a large ancient Egyptian temple complex. St. Catherine Monastery St. Catherine Monastery or Sinai is one of the oldest, continuously operating monasteries in the world.It was founded in the IV century in the heart of Sinai Peninsula near the foot of Mount Sinai (Horeb Bible). Defense building of the monastery was built by Emperor Justinian in the VI century. Settlers of the monastery are mostly Greek Orthodox religion. St. Catherine Monastery was included in the list in 2002 at No. 954

Wadі–al-Hіtan It is honor to be among the protected natural sites and has received the Egyptian Wadi al-Heath - Valley of the Whales - it contains the fossilized remains of some of the most ancient species of marine mammals.

About 40 million years ago, Wadi Heath area in Egypt was the sea floor, because there hundreds of skeletons of ancient mammals are remained. Valley of the Whales is included in the UNESCO list of objects that have the status of "World Heritage" in 2005,at number 1186.

This natural area is favorably different from other similar places of easy access and safe location against the backdrop of the beautiful natural landscape.

UNESCO World Heritage in Egypt is very interesting and valuable for the mankind to be studied and analyses.
