WHAT DO I PREFER: CLASSICAL OR POP MUSIC?

People can not live without music. There is music everywhere: at home, in a concert hall, in the park, at the seaside, in the forest and even in the street. Nowadays people prefer pop music more than classical. As for me, I like pop or rock music too.

Pop songs are short, usually have a strong backbeat that you can dance to, and they have a hook, a catchy phrase or melody thats repeated. The emotional mood of a pop song is usually singular.

This kind of music can be annoying for other people. Pop music is the best music for dancing. Young people like to go to events and clubs.

Some people think about this kind of music is stupid and pointless. I don't think so, because pop music is more entertainment than classical music but unfortunately more commercial.

As for the classical music, many songs, especially symphonies, are so long, listening to one is like going to a movie with no picture. Most songs don't even have lyrics. And even if they do, they are still almost impossible for most people to sing along with. And they are not great for dancing.

Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky was a Russian composer of the romantic period. So many his compositions are really popular in the world of classical music. Antonio Lucio Vivaldi was an Italian Baroque musical composer, violinist, teacher and cleric. Born in Venice, he is recognized as one of the greatest Baroque composers. His best-known work is a series of violin concertos known as the Four Seasons. Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist. Beethoven was the first composer who used music to express deep feelings, emotions and ideas. Even today he stays the greatest composer for many people.

So, I like pop music more than classical. But, of course, I do not think that classical music is bad. It is important too to realize classical music has a history going back hundreds of years whereas pop music essentially begins with the Beatles.
