Ukrainian Nature Reserve Drevlyansky

General Information Natural Reserve "Drevlyansky" - a protected area within the Naroditsky district of Zhytomyr region. Located south and east of the village of Naryodichi, along the river Uzh and its right tributaries - Loznytsia, Osliv and Zvizdal. Reserve area is 30872,84 hectares. Purpose of the reserve The reserve covers the land of state and communal property. It was created in order to preserve the unique forest and wetland natural complexes of the Ukrainian Polissya, the protection of relict and endemic plants and animals, and the reproduction and enrichment of the natural forests of the region.

The natural flora of the Drevlyan Nature Reserve includes about 800 species of vascular plants, which is about 53% of the flora of Ukrainian Polissya. Among the flora of vascular plants, the families of asteraceae (Asteraceae), clove (Cyperaceae), cabbage (Brassicaceae), pink (Rosaceae), lobal (Lamiaceae), cereal (Poaceae) predominate. The species inhabited by the Bern Convention include the following: the walnut floating (Trapa natans), the dracocephalum ruyschiana, the Salvinia natans, the broad-leaved dream (Pulsatilla patens), the Jurinea cyanoides, and the species which are listed in the European Red List of species that disappear on a worldwide scale - Ukrainian goats (Tragopogon ucrainicus) and Silene lithuanica.

The animal life of the Drevlyan Reserve is studied only fragmentarily. Landscape conditions and the structure of the habitats cause the presence of representatives of the fauna in the following ratio: 51% - animals of forest complexes, 34% - wetlands and 15% - species of agrocenoses. Of mammals, there are elk, European roe deer, wild boar, common fox, deer of forest, wolf, gray hare, common protein, European beaver, yellow owl mace, ore fistula, common hedgehog, common rurzubka, European ridge, etc. There are 7 species of mammals listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine, unique representatives are: evening dessert, wide European.

Forest lily - the only species of lily growing in Ukraine in a wild state.

The dream - one of the most popular early spring forest plants.

The nest is common - a herb of the Orchid family.

Gray hare, or hare-rusak, is a species of mammals of the Zaytsidobny series. Widespread view in Ukraine.

Noricom ores, or forest - kind of rodents of the genus fist, subfamily of the rat, the family of hamsters.

The copper is common, or rudder plain is a kind of kind of copper, copper family, or bruzubyh shredders.
