PRESENTATION BY Victory day

On the ninth of May we celebrate Victory Day.

Victory Day is a great holiday.

This patriotic holiday commemorates the victory of the USSR over the Nazi Germany.

This day celebrates the end of WWII (The Great Patriotic War, as Russians know it), in which Russia lost twenty-seven million people. This is a holiday with tears in the eyes.

Every year on this day in all cities across the country parades and celebrations are held.

In the evening you can watch a holiday salute.

We must remember those soldiers, those brave people who stood up till death for their homes, their country and their beliefs.

They were not politicians, they were not thinking about anything except protecting their homes.

We honor war veterans on this day. We give them flowers and presents.

We are proud of them.

We shouldn't forget about them!
