: In 2010 at Amosov National Institute of cardiovascular surgery NAMS of Ukraine with support of State clinical scientific practical center of telemedicine MOH were held 10 telemedicine sessions. For such action was used special equipment with support of international standard DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in medicine) The main idea of telemedicine sessions: Conducting remote medical consultations (3); Providing as practical experience exchange with leading clinics from Ukraine and Europe also for educational and scientific purposes (7); Providing medical service for socially unsecured layers of of society. Within the framework of cooperation with clinic of Ausburg (Germany) is organized on-line translation of transapical aortic valve implantation Translation of Annual meeting of the Association of cardiovascular surgeons of Ukraine with participation of the Minister of Health for 7 cardiovascular centers
During teleconferences were consulted 63 patients: 27 of them were additionally examined later at the Amosov NICVS; In four patients the initial diagnosis was not confirmed; Fifteen patients were assigned to conservative treatment at the place of origin; Eight patients were needed in hospitalization and were operated at the Amosov NICVS. Initiation of the practice of telemedicine conferences between regional medical centers and leading scientific institutions for consulting activities and treatment will make more effective practice of medical care and especially will support leading trends in cardiac surgery.
