Actuality and demand of doctoral work are caused by the need to identify patterns of areal distribution of roof rocks of different lithology, which serve as the basis for the management of the roof developed coal seams.
Solution of the above problems requires extensive study and consideration of geotechnical characteristics of the deposit and, above all, the regularities of the formation physical and mechanical properties of rocks at lithogenesis. That is the problem of studying water-physical and physical-mechanical properties of coal seams and their host rocks in the Karaganda basin is a priority among other issues and has only actuality.
The purpose and objectives. The purpose is studying and identification of patterns, physical and mechanical properties of host rocks coal layers of rocks Sherubai-Nura in the Karaganda basin with the depth of their occurrence, their of prevalence lateral in the study area and facial conditions of forming, which can serve as baseline data for determine the stability of rocks and mining, the coal fields passed in them at an underground way of working off.
Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of this work is to establish the patterns of variability of the complex geological structure parameters as vertically so laterally, which is folded with monotonous sedimentary rocks with a set (argillites, siltstones, sandstones and conglomerates sometimes) rocks "layer cake" with coal layers of for the stability of the forecast of roof coal seams.
Features of composition and structure will be installed as the coal seams, and their host rocks from the tectonic and paleogeographic conditions of sedimentation. Regularities of petrographic composition of coal will be installed on the depth of the humification process of plant residues (Vitry, Fusain, Claren and Duren), which determines not only the quality characteristics (calorific value and ash content) as a combustible fossil, but also its gas-bearing coal seams at ceteris paribus.
Mechanical properties (bulk density porosity of temporary resistance to compression and shear) of rocks will be installed from the slope paleorelief, weight and water flow rate, the area of demolition and the composition of the parent rocks shattered, rhythmic structure (intermittency lithotypes rocks and their capacity) coal-bearing strata due to facial conditions of sedimentation.
The practical significance of the work. In the exploration and development of coal deposits, given the ever- increasing requirements to ensure the safe and efficient development of deposits, there is a need to obtain and provide accurate prediction of mining and geological information in minimum costs to receive it. Improve the completeness and accuracy of mining and geological information in compliance with the conditions minimum expenditure on research possible by attracting and development of geophysical methods on the basis of their specialized techniques for more information on the deposit.
