In a restaurant Ukrainian and British dishes
It was at starlight evening. She came back from work to home.
On her desk, she found a small but beautiful red rose. She lifted this flower to her nose and she saw that behind a petal there was a sheet of paper. Dear Miss! Your big expressive eyes impressed me. Your smile makes me happy. I invite you to the restaurant. I hope that I will see you tomorrow. Your, Mr.
She was surprised and her cheeks flushed. She did not sleep for all night.
She dressed very well and went to the meeting. He was late. She ordered a cup of coffee with milk.
Oh, finally. My dear Miss, sorry for my late. Be always on time, to late is a crime, I know. So, what do you prefer for supper?
She said that she likes lettuce and different vegetables for supper. For dessert, she wants a piece of pie with carrot.
He was amazed and said that in the restaurant's menu of Ukrainian cuisine no carrot pie. However, he kept his head and proposed to order vareniki with cherries. I never heard about this dish.
He smiled and told that vareniki made from flour and they can be with berries or cottage cheese inside.
She was interested and took a menu. It was in Ukrainian. She asked him about red soup. He told that it is borscht and Ukrainians eat it for dinner.
She flipped through pages. She said that the British have other dishes. They eat soup rarely. Brits prefer salads, fried eggs, toast with jam, pudding. He said that it is very interesting.
They ordered salad with cucumbers and tomatoes, vareniki and uzvar.
It was unusual, romantic and starlight evening.
