Sambo - the syllabic abbreviation formed from the phrase «self-defense without the weapon») a type of combat sport, and also the complex system of self-defense developed in the USSR in «Freestyle fight» was the initial name of sports, and in 1947 is renamed into "sambo".

Sambo includes two sections: sports and fighting.

Such I came to sambo. This sport subdued me at once.

He is today the most known Russian sambo wrestler in the world, the repeated world champion in the mixed single combats, being considered during the period from the 2003rd to the 2010th the strongest fighter in these sports according to the version of many editions.

It is interesting: that sambo is considered the unique Russian sport which has received popularity not only in the homeland, but also in more than 50 countries of the world.
