Bran Castle gained fame after Bram Stoker wrote his famous novel "Dracula", where the main character is Count Dracula, also known as the "Vampire of Transylvania." In fact, the character Stokers never existed neither in history nor in Romanian folklore.
Built on top of a cliff and has an unusual trapezoidal shape, the Bran Castle was a strategic fortress. It has 4 levels, which are connected with a ladder. Halls and corridors of the castle are a mysterious labyrinth. The patio is a well, which is, according to legend, the underground room.
Dracula (1931) - the first official film of Dracula. Dracula 3D (2012) - at the moment the last film of Dracula. Dracula's Daughter (1936) - the first film about the daughter of Count Dracula. Dracula (1920) - the first silent film about Dracula, but it is considered lost, although it is mentioned in the archives Gosfilmfonda. Incidentally, this was the first film based on the novel "Dracula" and it was shot in Russia.
