Jonathan Anthony Stroud By Konstantin Zhukov and Kirill Filippov 7A

One of our favourite writer is Jonathan Anthony Stroud. He is the author of fantasy books, mainly for children and young adults. J. Stroud was born on the 27-th of October in 1970, in Bedford, England. He began to write stories at the very young age. He grew up in St. Albans where he enjoyed reading books, drawing pictures and writing stories. J. Stroud lives in St. Albans with his two children, Isabelle and Arthur, his wife Gina, an illustrator of children's books.

After he completed his studies of English literature at the University of York, he worked in London as an editor. J. Stroud experimented with different genres,for example,comic books, poetry and plays.

Among his most famous works are the books from best selling,,Bartimaeys Trilogy. The stories are told by sarcastic Jinni Bartimaeus.
