SOME HISTORICAL FACTS

School was opened in Firstly it was an elementary school. Later in 1935 the school became a secondary one. It was situated in the building of the last German school in Lenin Street. Telmanovo school is the state comprehensive secondary school. In our school there is an elementary school, basic school and high one. Our system of schooling is basic link – general education school- comprises three stages: primary, basic secondary and senior secondary

At our school youll find every opportunity to develop your skills, interests and personal qualities. This is a friendly, busy, successful and hardworking place. Students must take certain basic subjects for several years, such as Mathematics, Social Studies, Arts, Science, English and German, Literature of Ukraine, World Literature, Russian and Ukrainian, Russian Literature. Ukrainian is the official language in our country.

Our school has a full and colorful program with emphasis on languages, nature studies and technological classes. Besides theres space in the timetable for an optional subjects to be chosen. Students can select different courses.

Students attend school five days a week, Monday through Friday. School begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 2 or 3 p.m. There is a two-week vocation at the end of December corresponding with New Year and Christmas, one-week autumn, it usually in October, and one-week spring break, usually in March.

Our school is well-known for its extra-curricular activities. The sporting calendar of our school is very busy. There are sports events on most Saturday and some week days too.

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL UNIFORM Our school students attend in school uniform. Its beautiful. For boys its a jacket, trousers and some shirt. For girls are trousers, a jacket, a skirt and some blouse or shirt. For pupils of grades 1-4 school uniform is deep purple, but for pupils of grades 5-12 its black.
