Traditions in Russia. There is an ancient religious holiday which is called Maslenitsa. It is connected with the end of winter. It is celebrated with cooking lots of pancakes. People eat pancakes with caviar and go for long jolly walks gulyanya. After this holiday the great Past begins so people try to get as much fun as they can and eat a lot. Many people nowadays ignore this tradition but still there are some people who follow.
