Mark Twain is a famous American writer. He wrote the novel «The Adventures of Tom Sawyer» in 1876.

The main hero of the novel is Tom Sawyer, a boy of twelve. Tom lives with his aunt Polly, his step brother and sister. He is clever but naughty boy. He is not a very good student but he has a lot of friends.

He met with a beautiful girl Becky at school. They became very good friends.

Tom is a very inquisitive boy, he loves travelling. So one day he left home and lived with his friends on an uninhabited island.

Some Toms adventures were very dangerous. Tom and Becky went to explore a cave and lost their way. They spent some terrible days there without food and water. Tom found a way out and saved Becky.

Toms bravery helped him find a dangerous criminal and a big treasure of gold coins. Toms family was happy and proud of him. Happy End.
