Nikolay Ivanovich Pirogov (25 November 1810 – 5 December 1881) was a Rassian surgeon, anatomist and tutors. I have chosen this person because his actions allowed Russian medicine to achieve a new level. Besides, he made a great contribution to native pedagogics. Moreover, he had good personal qualities such as selflessness, unselfishness and he was very commited to his work.
