Aim: Find out what the main idea of creating national parks is. There are some questions to understand it. 1. What is nature? 2. Where can you study it? 3. Why do you need to study it? 4. What kind of activities do national parks organize to help preserve nature, its beauty and its riches?
Do you love nature or enjoy being in the countryside? Do you love watching animals or plants? If you answer these questions positively you will be interested in this project.
What is nature? This is everything in the world that is not made or controlled by humans; such is animals, plants, and weather.
Some of the most popular national parks are the following: Yellowstone, Snowdonia, Kruger, Wood Buffalo, Belovezhskaya park, Nikko, Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Canyon, Great Barrier Reef, Serengeti, Las Islas Galápagos and other.
There are 27 national parks in Japan.T he most famous is Nikko. There are several beautiful lakes and waterfalls there. These lakes are rich with trout. There is also a temple on the volcano. Japanese say that its gates divide the human's and the spirit's world. People come to Nikko to watch flowers. In the middle of April sakura comes into bloom. Many people come to this park to see the maple leaffall. National holidays are always celebrated here.
Yellowstone Park is an international reserve (founded on the 1 st of March, 1872). It is located in the USA. It is famous for geysers, rich wildlife, landscapes. There are 1870 plant species, 60 species of animals in it. This park is the most visited.
One of the oldest U.S. National Parks is located in Arizona. The park is the Grand Canyon - Grand Canyon of the Colorado River, one of the wonders of the world. The area of the park is 4927 sq km.
To sum up, the national parks are created to study wildlife, to preserve national beauty, to protect animals or plants, especially rare specimens.
