Christmas tree
The main aspect of Christmas in England is a Christmas tree.
The custom to decorating fir – trees appeared in England comparatively recently, in middle of XIX century and was brought from Germany.
Now in every English house people decorate Christmas fir – tree with sweets and shining toys of different colours.
Also usually people set a big silver star on the top of tree.
In period of The Second World War, for the first time a huge fir – tree was delivered by contraband from Norway to England and was put on The Trafalgar square.
Since that time, every year Oslo gave fir - tree to British capital and its put on The Trafalgar square.
