Theodore Roosevelt – negotiated an end to the Russia – Japanese War for which he won the Nobel Peace Prize Abraham Lincoln – successfully led his country through the American Civil War
The Memorial was created by Gutzon Borglum. The construction began in 1927
The Memorial was completed in 1941
