Tower of London You can see the Tower of London from the river Thames. The Tower is very old. It has a long and cruel history. It is not just one building. The tall building is the White Tower, the oldest part of the Tower of London. The Bloody Tower is near the river. You do not see blood there today. It has the history of blood – the blood of men, women and even children.

Westminster Abbey This magnificent building was built in a gothic style. Its a royal church. Almost all kings and queens of Britain are buried here.

Buckingham Palace Buckingham Palace is the London home of the Queen. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home

Trafalga Square Trafalgar Square is the geographical centre of London and the favourite place of Londoners and tourists

Tate Gallery The Tate Gallery opened in 1897 and is named after Sir Henry Tate, who donated his collection of 65 paintings to the nation. Now it is the National Gallery of Modern Paintings. There is a large collection of European twentieth-century art there.

Tower Bridge Although Tower Bridge looks ancient, it was actually built in 1894 of steel. It has become one of the symbols of London.

British Museum Today the British Museum is a treasure house of old, beautiful and interesting objects. They come from over the world and from thousands of years of history.

National Gallery The National Gallery has a collection of Italian, Dutch, German and French pictures. The National Gallery is rich in painting by Italian masters such as Raphael and Veronese.

The London Eye The London Eye is a new attractive place in London, looking for all the world like a giant bicycle wheel, 135 meters (443 feet) in diameter. It's also sometimes called the Millenium Wheel because it's one of a number of projects built to celebrate the new millenium.
