RETROSPECTIVE OF ETHNOPOLITICAL CONFLICT IN CRIMEA: Psychosemantic Models Volodymyr Salamatov Kiev, Ukraine
Rationalities of the study The problems of interethnic relations, social stability, individual and collective security are directly connected with the perception and understanding of social reality by people possessing the different social positions. Hypothesis: The core factor of conflict understanding is explication and study of cognitive models of the conflict social situations. Approach: During the social management the analysis of a situation is made by the particular people. The analysis is realised at the level of individual consciousness and interaction between individual cognitive models. Hence, the individual structures of knowledge appear to be one of the major elements of a socio - political situation and the essential part of decision making model. It is possible to tell, that the structure of knowledge is a structure of a reality.
Objectives 1) reconstruction of individual cognitive models of the Crimea-Tatar problem; 2) the exploration of the obtained models through factor analysis of consolidated data; 3) analysis of the oppositions in common factor model;
UNIVERSAL ELEMENTS OF THE SITUATION (Universalities): Time Space Nature People Culture Power Money Legislation Crimea Problems
The Factors of individual constructs for essential elements of CRIMEA-TATAR PROBLEM (varymax rotation, experts 1-4, rg0, 1995)
Сonstructs comparison & Basic Dynamics
ICA Model of Basic Dynamics
Conclusions (1) on political dimension/construct: The subjective constructs represent the personal understanding of political dimensions of the conflict situation (Crimea-Tatar Problem). There are the essential semantic differences of constructs (semantic dimensions) between persons with different social position concerning the situation. The constructs of representatives of ethnic minority have obvious existential sense Meaning, reasoning. The constructs used by representatives of central authority are rather formal characteristics of social systems functioning Organising, foundation.
Three main oppositions between universalities: 1)"Power", "money" / "nature", "space" 2) "rights", "culture" / "crimea-tatar problem 3) space / people.
Construct – Universalities: The scores of the universalities on the 1st factor (scale "activation") (exp.01, oct.95, grid 0)
Construct – Universalities: The scores of the universalities on the 2nd factor (scale "interaction: кооперация - замкнутость) (exp.01, oct.95, grid 0)
Construct – Universalities: The scores of the universalities on the 3rd factor (scale "security") (exp.01, oct.95, grid 0)
Conclusions (2): The described approach allows to represent: - the multidimensional of situation in generalised form of factor models, - the presence of various informative planes of interaction between the situation elements, - to carry out the analysis of their interaction on various semantic dimensions.
Conclusions (2): The comparative analysis of individual grids showed: 1)Similarity of positions of the same elements in individual semantic maps. 2) Essential distinctions in individual semantics of constructs of social situation. 3) It is psycho semantic explanation for simultaneous understanding and misunderstanding between subjects of social process.
