Lewis Carroll was a Professor of Mathematics at Oxford College, but we know him as a writer of science fiction.
Carroll was born in January 27, in 1832, in one of the small villages in the English County of Cheshire, in the family of a priest Charles Dodgson. In his family there were 7 girls and 4 boys. He began his studies at the Rugby school, then he entered Oxford.
Being a Professor of Mathematics, his love for writing wasn't lost. He came up with a different mathematical puzzle, which were later published under the title «Mathematical curiosities». Since 1854 his work began to appear in the serious British editions The Comic Times, The Train. In 1864, he wrote his most famous work – «Alice in Wonderland».
He died in 1898году in the town of Guildford.
