м The Earth is a very dangerous place. Such disasters as earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes and floods can happen.

т Over the past ten years there were around disasters and about people died in them. Last year the world economy has lost three hundred fifty billion dollars.

j There are different types of floods. 1)Low floods. 2) Dangerous floods. 3) Very dangerous floods. 4) Catastrophe floods.

c Floods can happen everywhere: on the rivers in Europe and Asia and in North and South America.

n The biggest floods in Russia happen on the Volga, the Amur and on the Don.

m Although people can predict the floods, now they are still very dangerous. People build water storage reservoirs to prevent the floods. It helps to solve the problem.

c These tragedies teach us that there are few safe places on the earth and people should help each other at the difficult times.
